Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen has said that Romania will issue 5,000 visas for Bangladeshi workers.

Dr Momen in a message on Monday (February 5) also said a six-member consular team from the Romanian Foreign Ministry will be in Dhaka for three months from March this year. They will issue about 5,000 visas, including 34,00 pending visas.

“The consular team needs some local help. This is the first time they are sending such consular missions abroad,” he said.

It is to be noted that Romania has no mission in Bangladesh. The country kept in touch with Bangladesh from its Delhi mission.
